DMS ARE ALWAYS OPEN FOR PLOTTING
Minnow was a much less cynical, much less hardened woman once. Though, in a world as cruel as the one she faces every day, childhood whimsy and bright-eyed idealism would never survive long. For a time, Minnow was happy, but that was claimed on her tenth birthday.
It should come as no surprise that a cruel world did as it always would -- destroying and consuming anything not wise enough to be wary of it. Even Minnow, as gentle as she once had been, was forced to grow dangerous in the name of survival. While she does not revel in combat or harming others, she has, nonetheless, come to understand it as a necessity.
Generally distrusting of most people -- but especially suspicious of and aloof towards those aligned with the Military -- and introverted, Minnow instead prefers to be left to her artistic talents. They, along with her habit of carefully observing the world around her, have aided in making her a skillful pass forger within the Eclipse.
However mistrustful of others she has become, Minnow is not introverted to the point of being reclusive. She, after all, cannot even dream of that luxury. In her eyes, being a hermit lends little to survival -- interaction is unavoidable. And while Minnow is not inherently malicious, she is, like most, still an opportunist and that requires using what skills she possesses to her advantage, though never would she do so if someone she perceives as innocent would be harmed.
Preferring to stay out of conflicts that have little to do with her has turned Minnow into somewhat of a noncommittal figure. Her loyalties are unclear, but then, what can be expected of someone who hardly speaks, let alone about her beliefs? What is clear, however, is her utter hatred for the Military and those who espouse their beliefs and way of governing.
Deep down, however, that once idealistic child still lives on. In spite of her cynicism and damaged world view, there is a part of her that still holds on to the empathy she recognizes as dangerous. There are people her heart is still attached to, in spite of the danger she sees it as. There is a piece of her that longs to open up and experience a world she has only viewed from the sidelines. In truth, however, she is more afraid than damaged. For though the world is unkind, she firmly believes she had girded herself from the worst kind of pain.
How wrong she is.
