Family connections. The Geoff family is one of the more well-known families within the stronghold for their influence and strong military ties going back generations. The patriarch of their family was a Brigadier General who only recently stepped down and retired expecting his sons to follow in his footsteps. They are a very close-knit family and protective of one another, the siblings go out of their way to look out for one another with the oldest brother taking on most of the family's burdens when it comes to keeping up with appearances.
Anyone taking either of these positions will have potential to plot with Étienne Blanchard as well since he is Isabellas childhood best friend.
The eldest brother is no nonsense and much like his father he takes his job in the Military very seriously, because of this and his fathers influence he has moved through the ranks very easily. He is the protector who does his best to keep the middle brother and his little sister Bella in line and out of harms way. Since Bellas kidnapping and return he has been a bit overprotective of her at times to the point that he oversteps his bounds from time to time.

The middle brother is a bit more laid back than the older and while he takes his job seriously he doesn't see the need to walk around with a stick up his ass constantly. He is a bit of a charmer and isn't afraid to flirt around to get what he wants, he knows how to twist and manipulate people to his gain ( A trait his sister picked up for sure). While he loves his family he also isn't afraid to go against them from time to time especially when he feels it will benefit him in the long run.
