Seryna is more a passive observant than an active participant. Her past made her cautious and wary of other people and made her reluctant to connect to those whom she thinks she might mistakenly harm someday. Although a little too reserved, she does sometimes, tries her best to befriend a few souls now and then. Her circle of friends, however, is mostly fellow Level V infected like her, as Seryna does not trust herself around humans.

She does her best to avoid conflict as much as possible but when pushed too far, Seryna would stand her ground. Sometimes she will use her abilities just to end an argument. As far as she is aware though, Seryna barely has any person she can consider or considers her as an enemy. She, however, does her best to maintain a low profile where the Military is concerned.


Romantic
Before turning, Seryna was a romantic. She fell in love easily and deeply but with youth came the fact that her romances were quite short. After mutation, Seryna does not allow herself to form that connection, afraid that she might hurt her potential partner.

Quick History
Ages 0 - 23     Life before the outbreak
Born second to middle-class parents, there wasn't anything much she wanted. Neither did she have many aspirations, unlike her older sister whose interest fluttered between one thing to the next. Due to her lack of interest in most things, Seryna was diligent in following the norm, studying well, and aiming to live her life as much as she could like the rest of the populace.


Then came a time when, like many girls her age, when Seryna was more focused on her appearance and more interested in dating boys than studying. It was how normal people would live their life. She wasn't the prettiest but she had great looks and she breezed through short unserious relationships like a pro. There weren't many expectations from her either, so Seryna continued to drift through this normalcy with acceptance and ease.


Ages 23 - 93     Contraction of the Virus
Seryna created a career out of her voice, her family connections and her innate talent allowed her to be Sydney's Opera House's sought-after Sopranos. She was on a tour in the Americas when the virus outbreak started and caused pandemonium.


She hardly remembered the time between she was bitten to the present, but it sometimes comes to her in the forms of nightmares. It took a while for her to wrap her head around the fact that she had killed so many and until now, she suffers extreme guilt over it.

Ages 93 - 103     Life after the Virus to Present
Seryna came back to her "human consciousness" around two years ago. She had desperately searched for her family members and found that her older sister's daughter still lived in the Stronghold. However, unable to explain how she still lived despite being over a hundred, Seryna instead attached herself to various drifter communities at the outskirts of the Stronghold.


She found her salvation through Augustine Dupont, a playwright, and musician, and a mutant Infected like herself. He had found her singing her Old World arias and pulled her into joining the Silverlight Opera House. It was through him and his connections, that she was able to enter the Stronghold.


Seryna became a bit of a sensation but due to her guilt over her sins, she was quite reclusive and declined any offers to perform outside the Opera House. When not performing, she mostly kept herself within the housing provided by Augustine and his backer, only leaving it to visit a club named, River Styx, and/or to occasionally venture to the outskirts as part of a charity program.

Extra Information
Infected     Level V
Seryna was infected in the first year of the outbreak and has mutated to Level V by the year 2085. Her self-condemnation over the fact that she had become "a monster", had her struggling with her blood lust, to the point that she used to often starve herself to a crazed point. Her association with the River Styx, however, allowed her to gradually curb her masochistic penance, and through their help, she learned to control her urges.
Talent     Ex-Drifter
A little over two years ago, Seryna gained consciousness outside of the Stronghold. She struggled to be with and around people and often found it easier to breeze through different Drifter communities than to actually stay. She was found by Augustine Dupont, who recognized her to be the Opera House Soprano she was once, and he took her under his wing, brought her into the Stronghold, and gave her a new identity.
Talent     Singer
Pre-outbreak, Seryna took up was a Soprano in the Sydney Opera House. Although young, she was able to establish herself to the point of world-renown. For this reason, she presently goes by Morticia Frost under the Silverlight Opera House.
