Strange and disabled, Eros always had a hard time connecting with the other Inner Citadel kids. He does not quite exude the Inner Citadel attitude of pomposity and willful ignorance and for this he is shunned by mostly all in the Citadel but his family. His friends tend to be the outsiders of their groups- fellow outcasts that sit on the ridge of society, whether by their own choice or their forced circumstance. Eros has a huge heart for these kinds of souls, the downtrodden and weird, and this is who he platonically gravitates to, for he is full of warmth and passion.
In the past, though his family was very "free love", he did not quite know how to turn familial and friendly affection to a romantic or sexual connection. His first crush was a Military officer, one that was a family friend to the Quillers who stopped by for his sister's famous buttered biscuits, yet he did not know how to quite react to those feelings. It was through the help of his older siblings that he navigated romance, and has had a slew of romantic and sexual partners throughout the years, though none have truly stuck for Eros prefers to engage himself in his work and passions (not to mention is ever-growing need for change). Eros is open and comfortable in his affections- though it's keeping those affections stable and long-lasting that he struggles with. The Quiller also tends to be rather selfish.
Oddballs have a way of attracting enemies through their very existence, and Eros has earned unintentional animosity through his state of being. This, however, only extends to disgust or contempt thrown in his direction and there are few who wish him harm or death. He has made himself a bit of nuisance to Military officials, as he likes to sneak out of the Citadel and Stronghold for electronic and metallic parts- this goes the same for his neighbors, who grow aggravated over the harsh sounds of his robotics-making. Always a rebel, Eros does not necessarily invite trouble to his door, yet he would not mind leaving the entryway cracked open for it to surreptitiously slip in. He is not afraid of challenging the status quo and his high spirits and fierce idealism have incited problems.
Eros is born to the large and eccentric Quiller family of the Inner Citadel. Though wealthy, the Quillers had earned a bit of a reputation as outliers.
From a young age, Eros is a natural born tinkerer, always finding a need to have something twiddling in his stubby, little hands. His parents encourage this, as well as praise his creativity and free-thinking.
Eros builds his first bot- a little remote control car he named "Wheely". Wheely worked for a full five minutes, before electrocuting itself and nearly setting a flame. What brought anxiety to his parents was pure joy to Eros.
Eros has his first enemy- a neighborhood bully named Archibald who thought it fun to pick on the spindly, lanky kid. Archibald gives Eros a wound during a scuffle, a scar that's still present on the back of his thigh.
Eros has his first arrest as he is found trying to exit the Stronghold. He's taken into custody, yet his wealthy and influential family was able to pay his bail and have the charges dropped. He's since been arrested two more times with a similar result.
A gas line explodes in the Slums during one of Eros' scavenging missions. It kills five people and severely wounded Eros, who ultimately survived- but lost his left arm in the process.
Eros' first prosthetic is fitted onto him. It's the newest, experimental model from Cypher and horribly buggy. As the model is improved and his arm worked at, he eventually is able to retake his hobby a year later.
Eros has a brief romance with a baker, but his insecurities about his disability causes the relationship to deteriorate.
Eros convinces his parents to allow him to live by himself, on the condition of no more arrests. He's currently in an apartment on the outskirts of the Inner Citadel, with a low level garage where he runs a small miscellaneous electronics repair operation. It's through this business that he attained a pass that allows him to exit the Stronghold.
Eros befriends a stray raccoon kit from the Slums, who becomes his most loyal companion- Peecho.
