  PLATONIC //
Though a man of flair on the stage, Killian keeps few friends. He is not trustful of most individuals. His dry, twisted sense of humor is often used as a defense mechanism to prevent legitimate and deep connection. His "friends" consist of a dog named Winston who he believes talks and a "spirit" named Xid (visions from hallucinogens the Diviner gives him). He needs someone to talk to that isn't a dog or fabricated vision, and perhaps someone to shake him out of his disillusion.

  ROMANTIC //
Killian's not a particularly warm or complimentary man, a result of a hard exterior molded by previous relationship trauma and his natural personality. Bitter to his circumstances, and raised by a single parent, he harbors an avoidant attachment style and has little emotional currency left to hold for romance. That being said, there is a part of him that yearns for emotional intimacy and proper romance, in a world that has taught him such a connection is only a weakness. This yearning and desire has made him begrudgingly prone to unrequited crushes, and the more unrequited, the harder he falls.

  ANTAGONISTIC //
As is the nature of his jobs, first as a mercenary, then as a bounty hunter, Killian has amassed an array of enemies. First an alliance of the Military, as he often fulfilled contracts for them, he's since held a tenuous relationship with them, committing crimes without their jurisdiction (as a result of his profession) and holding a grudge as they'd often employed him to kill "innocent colonists". Semi-hypocritical, he believes the Military a sour organization and all who serve them "dictators". He despises Infected, and believes a high level mutated infected killed his sister. For Infected, it's kill on sight, and he greatly disagrees with the Spades for their use of Infected in shows. In some instances, he enjoys toying with his enemies, forming many "frenemy"-type relationships, as he's spent his entire life surrounded by conflict.

Quick History
2056

A woman, silver moonlight, a stream, a pool of blood. Killian is born crying and screaming to Freyda and Charlie McCaffrey, a child of the wasteland. Unlike most drifters, Freyda and Charlie had a dependent and integral relationship with the Military, as the McCaffery's were once Inner Citadel researchers who left by choice for "theory testing", regularly sending reports to the Military. Their purpose has become less scientific and more hands-on, and Freyda and Charlie are expert Infected killers.

2058

Anise is born two years after Killian. Killian remembers the scene of her birth, as Charlie made little effort to prevent him from witnessing the bloody trial.

2060

Freyda McCaffrey catches an illness and dies after a week of suffering. Charlie, realizing he was left with caring for a four and two year old alone, struggles with the emotional weight of parenthood and the death of Freyda.

2061-2068

Charlie is cold and emotionally distant from his son and daughter. From as young as Killian could remember, his style of parenting was to scare and discipline his children into survival. The sacred times they did bond was during Charlie's story-telling, often through metaphorical ballads, and the singing of old drifter songs, a favorite of Charlie's past time. Killian turns out toe be the more romantic of the two siblings. Charlie dies to Infected.

2076

Anise falls in love with a colony drifter and the man, named Joel, runs away with the sibling pair. By now, they are reputable mercenaries, regularly fulfilling contracts for the Stronghold Military. Killian considers Joel almost a brother- that is, until Anise and Joel go missing. Killian finds Joe eviscerated and dying. He informs Killian that Anise is dead, murdered by the person he brought her to, and presents Anise's bloody amulet as proof. He dies afterwards while Killian is left dumbfounded.

2077-2080

Instilled with vengeance, Killian attempts to figure out more the nature of his sister's death. His investigation takes him to the Stronghold.

2081-2083

He initially takes up a job as an entertainer. It turns out many residents know little about the outside world and the McCaffrey name has faded to nonexistence. Using the Citadel's ignorance to his advantage, he started dazzling Inner Citadel citizens with his gun shows. It's through this that he's also introduced to bounty hunting- namely, killing Infected for money, given by those who do not want to involve the Military.

2084-2093

As his search slow in momentum, he turns to alcoholism. Sensing his destitution, a woman named the "Diviner" says she has a solution to his woes. She brews him a tea that has him hallucinate a demon that keys him in on hints to his sister's disappearance and killing.

2094-present

Through this imagined "demon", he's convinced that the name of his sister's killer is Morticia Frost, an opera singer in the Inner Citadel. He currently hunts for her, desperate to get revenge for Anise.
