Puck Frisk is many a thing and yet few actually have ever seen that for he wears a smiling mask that few get to see past. To most he is a very friendly if a touch dumb and certainly hyperactive young(ish) man. He's generally energetic, always seeming to be doing something or running off on some errand. He likes to take risks and have a bit of fun, always seeming ready for the next big adventure or the next party that's being thrown. He seems to indulge in everything and is often found getting himself into trouble or at the very least is at the center of it laughing like a maniac over it! But, well, what else do you expect from a jokester who seems more interested in having fun than being serious. Truly he comes off as a party boy, though perhaps one with a sweet side to him.

He's a very artistic soul, which is honestly a true part of him. He's always been drawn to the art of the world and more so to making it his own. He likes to draw, paint, use any medium he can to create things and he's been known to leave that art around wherever he pleases. He just likes bringing a little bit of something darkly beautiful to the world. And, yes, most of his artwork has darkness to it as well as the beauty of it. And he's also the one who designed most of his own tattoos to boot. It's something that gives him joy and a seeming purpose as well. Something outside of his work to focus on and he's got endless sketchbooks scattered around his rooms. Yes, scattered because the man lives in seeming disorganized chaos! Yet he always seems to be able to find what he's looking for, knowing exactly what he needs and where it is.

He is also of the belief that no person is wholly good or bad but a mix of the two. His goodness comes out in his art and that jokester mask and it hides the world of darkness that is underneath it. Darkness born of a life that wasn't easy or kind, that held little love of any kind in it. A darkness that has twisted him into a man who has no qualms about doing whatever he wishes as long as it gets him what he wants. Perhaps that is how he has managed to make himself an Ace and the Ace of Hearts in particular. A handsome face hides a man who will happily sell you the use of whomever he can in order to gain your patronage and money. He's in the business of fulfilling fantasies if you ask him but those fantasies are born on the backs and flesh of everyone under his control. He's ruthless, cunning, and far more intelligent than most would ever assume him to be. One does not get to his position in life without being that way or being willing to get their own hands dirty to keep their position. And he's no exception. He doesn't mind getting his own hands dirty when necessary though he does like to send his people out to do it. After all, why have them if you don't use them?

Of course his darkness is born, in part, from the demons of his past. Puck has always been a man rather without love, never really having experienced a life where it was freely given. Instead it was as much a commodity as anything else in life, including the bodies around him. So that was what he learned, to be cold and uncaring and ever so hurt by it all. Though he hides those cracks very deep down. So deep down that they are often even hidden from himself. However, they come out in the form of nightmares as well as night terrors, making him into an insomniac who has been known to self medicate in order to rest. It has also given him an intense fear of abandonment, one that has made him shove people away and makes him keep them at arm's length. He doesn't want anyone to get close because if they aren't close then they can't hurt him. Their inevitable leaving won't make his life any worse if he never cared about them in the first place after all! So he's guarded his heart well and built up his walls, refusing to truly care about anyone around him. It's just safer that way.
