Fenris is born to a Heart's sex worker, the only child to be produced after a series of abortion attempts. He never knew his father, and though his mother was loving and affectionate, she was hardly attentive to his needs as she battled her own addictions and debt. He is known as the "brothel baby" and was often cared for by other workers in the brothel as well as his mother.

He is loved by the sex workers of the ramshackle Heart's brothel, though it is not a happy place. From a young age, he was forced into the harsh realities of life and never quite spared himself a childhood. His attempts at friends were rebuked, as he was the only youth at the brothel, and his reputation as a "wh*reson" stayed the neighborhood kids away. His identity became deeply entwined with the Hearts, and sex work. Fenris adopts the last name "Siskakos" in honor of one of the brothel workers that helped raised him.

Fenris is trained in the art of sexual pleasure. He loses his virginity to a wealthy Inner Citadel businessman, a lesson which completely dissociates sex from romance. Due to his adventurous nature, he leans toward the kinkier and taboo side of sex. His imposing figure, as he's sprouted to the height of six feet at the age of 14 (and host of traumatic issues), makes him a natural dominant.

His mother dies suddenly in an accident. Many believed it staged, as she was a close lover of the previous Ace of Hearts who had incurred jealousy over Fenris and her apparent charming of a Citadel man. This is speculative, and Fenris continues to deny her affair and the suspect nature of her death, accepting that it was, as fronted, an "accident".

Fenris opens his own business with borrowed funds- a strip club called the "Doghouse", after finding opportunity and growing tired of his station. It's successful, though the high rent (a result of an altercation with the landlord that made them resentful of Fenris) keeps its so he cannot pay off his ever increasing debts. Coupled with his reckless spending, loan sharks have begun to seek him out with blood on their hands.
