Since "re-awakening", he has found enjoyment and purpose in gaining power and authority over everything and anything he could get his hands on. Now that he has successfully achieved both, he is not above abusing them for his personal gain -- specifically to hide his inhuman nature as well as to stalk and obsess over "things" he fancies.

In his current position there is hardly any person he could truly trust but he plays his part when needed, but he plays it well. Daemon isn’t against rubbing shoulders with anyone as long as they don’t pose a threat to him.


Antagonistic
As a Level V hiding within the midst of the military, Daemon had to get rid of certain humans. With his moral compass skewed after mutation, he fully supports any form of violence when he sees it fit. He also finds some entertainment in keeping the people around him on their toes and would’ve definitely rubbed others wrong. The only two things that could tick him are a threat to his Level V identity and coveting something he has deemed as his.


Romantic
Daemon, as a human, had many lovers, but there was only one person he ever was obsessed with. Even after turning, he continues to be obsessed and his passion is only heightened by his mutation.

Quick History
Ages 0 - 41     Life before the outbreak
Of the bits and pieces he could remember of his distant past, the most prominent is that of a constant state of hunger. He remembers he used to be a street urchin talented with his hands and quick on his feet. Daemon knew he had survived from picking pockets and fighting tooth and nail against the other kids on the street.


The next puzzle piece he has of his past was knowing how it felt like to be in a constant state of anxiety. He recalls having answered to different names. From “Arthur”, to “Gallahan”, to “Francis” and “Arnault”. The feeling of being beaten near to death was ingrained in his bones. And deep in his memory a voice always tells him it was “for him to know how to keep himself alive”.


The biggest chunk of his memories of the past was the face of love but not love’s name. He could recall the softness of a golden afternoon with love but not when it had happened. Daemon knew the touch of love, memorized its shape and feel against his hands and lips, but he couldn’t recall what had happened to love after their world shattered.

Ages 41 - 116     Contraction of the Virus
He recalls having gone through a harsh military training and having led people in the war against the infected. Daemon remembers having been bitten and then nothing after that.


What he couldn't remember though, was the slaughter and bloodbath that he had participated in. Starting with hunting humans with the rest of the mindless infected and ending with him seeking and murdering humans with a "familiar face".

Ages 116 - to present     Life after the Virus to Present
Daemon had recalled his humanity fifteen years ago after seemingly having slaughtered a small unit of uniformed men. Conveniently for him, he soaked up all the information the military unit had on them and then began to plan infiltrating the Stronghold.


After he had successfully entered the Stronghold, he enlisted into the military and doggedly worked his way up. And with his mutation, it wasn’t too much of a challenge to be rid of those who had tried to block his path. Taking up residence in the most affluent district of the Stronghold, Daemon "played house" with an heiress and after she had "died of illness", inherited her properties. Now a decorated major and with the wealth, power and authority he wanted, Daemon turns his focus to find Love.

Extra Information
Infected     Level V
Daemon was infected in the first year of the outbreak and has mutated to Level V by the year 2080. After which he drove himself to “finding Love”, but when that proved to be difficult, he turned to lean on gaining any power and authority that could assist him in his quest. He had chosen to become part of the military as he thought it the best place to gain access to many things and still be conveniently “hidden”.

His distant previous life and present circumstances has enabled him to become highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat. A herculean effort is always exerted to appear normal, but when he fancies it, Daemon could be quite violent. But now that he is a major, he does try to avoid any sort of scandal that could put him under the microscope. However, abusing his power and authority is never out of the question.

There was one person he recalls having loved fiercely, but with the mutation, his passion had become an obsession. Unbeknownst to him, he had subconsciously hunted all those that had looked like his past lover.

Daemon is drunk with pride over his superhuman abilities and the authority he has achieved while concealing the fact. He finds a perverse amusement in using his power and authority to "play" with certain people to an extent that isn't detrimental to his stellar reputation.

Since returning to consciousness, Daemon had noticed a platinum ring on his ring finger. He does not quite remember where it was from but agonizes over the thought of taking it off, and so he had never taken it off.
