To put it simply — Brock is not a good dude. Born in the Inner Citadel and raised into a family of wealth and power, he had everything at his finger tips from the moment he was born. Yet somewhere along the way things seemed to get twisted for the man. Growing up, he was raised to be heir to his family's fortune through their company — O'King Firearms. Since before the virus outbreak, over eight decades earlier, they were responsible for creating top of the line firearms for Military personnel. This meant that even to this day, the O'Kings have heavy influence in the Military, with ties that run deep. Brock inherited these ties once his parents passed away and he inherited the company, granting him a secure future in the Inner Citadel. But the man's heart bleeds black, and over the years, a corruption settled inside him that led him to double cross the Military and sell high grade firearms to their very enemies — the Jabberwockies.
From an exterior point of view, Brock is a very typical, rich corporate bastard. He has power and influence over Stronghold and he isn't afraid to show it, displaying his immense wealth through extravagant parties — often hosted for the Military's delight. He is cocky and arrogant, and does business dealings through strong-arming negotiations. The Military appears to be the only faction that has earned Brock's unwavering loyalty and respect, seeing as how his company survives only because of its ties to the faction in power. Many who have met Brock can accurately describe him as a man that easily makes enemies — and seemingly enjoys doing so. He is a brute of a man, in both personality and physique, and surrounds himself with men and women of equal power and wealth. Brock on more than one occasion has described himself as a king — a lion, watching over his domain. It ruffles feathers and feeds his ego.
Hidden behind an egomaniacal CEO mask, Brock dabbles in darker delights to entertain himself. It didn't take long after inheriting his family's company before he started getting high off the notion of backstabbing those that helped him rise to power. In the books, O'King Firearms supplies weapons to the Military and no one else — behind the scenes, Brock is known for selling their high grade weapons to the Jabberwockies as well. The gang doesn't matter, so long as they have the money to buy the goods. Hell he'd even sell to Eclipse if he cared to venture outside the walls. Whatever makes him more money — as money equals power in the current state of the world — he's content with. He has friends on both sides of the law, even if the Military doesn't know the darkness of his heart. It makes him feel safe, knowing he can curry favour with those that can provide protection should he need it. He very much is a double edged sword.
No matter how much of a brute Brock comes off as, at the end of the day he's still human — there isn't a wall of ice completely shutting him off from his emotions. When alone, or with those closest to him, he reveals a much different persona. His true self seems to shine through, the one that may have taken over if his parents hadn't pushed him from such a young age. He can be warm and gentle to those that earn his affection, and creativity blossoms in his heart — his passions have especially been expressed through cooking, which he uses as a way of showing his love for others. Oddly enough Brock also enjoys family, and especially children. While he looks upon the idea of fatherhood with fondness, being a gay man in a world where reproduction was frowned upon to begin with means his dreams will probably never come true. For the better, perhaps?
