Remus has always been a rather greedy, ambitious, and spontaneous individual. Growing up in a world that had collapsed due to Infected, he had to become quick-witted to survive, and anything he came across that he enjoyed was immediately his. It was his way of keeping himself grounded in reality, alongside his dozens of relatives that he spent much of his time around. They were a large family unit, rare for modern times, and although he wouldn't ever say it aloud, Remus grew up a family man. But that didn't mean that he wasn't greedy around his family; quite the contrary, he needed to protect what was his even more, and it quickly evolved into a selfish desire to possess and own anything that brought him joy and pleasure. Remus has what could be described as a 'princely attitude'. He often feels a sense of entitlement, enjoying fucking around with others just to entertain himself. People are nothing but playthings to him, and he doesn't have the empathy required to form proper bonds and relationships with other people.
Somewhat cold and apparently apathetic to most troubles of the world, it sounds as if Remus is one nasty dude. And he is — he just doesn't necessarily show his bad side to people he doesn't know or trust. On the outside, he comes across as a smooth, business savvy individual that often has a tendency to toe the line between appropriate and inappropriate flirting. He does his best to simply enjoy life, even if that's at the expense of others. Ambition and spontaneity was what kept him going, and even now, he finds it difficult to stay in one place for very long. He enjoys new things and attaches himself to them until he grows bored of them, and moves on to the next best thing. Becoming treasurer of the Diamonds Gang is the first thing in a long time that's actually kept his attention long enough for him to put down roots and begin to grow some semblance of a life — his own identity, away from his family.
Remus' spontaneity means he does not have a stable mood; he can go from relaxed and gentle to viscous and cruel in just a split second, depending on the situation. He's known to be as calm as the night and as violent as the day withinin the same hour, and he allows himself and his actions to be dictated by his mood. There's never been a reason for Remus to realize the consequences of his actions, and thus has trapped himself in a box of constantly-shifting moods and unpredictable behavior. The most surprising part of Remus' personality is his curiosity — much like a small child, he's always excited to learn about the world around him, and thrives when he's forced into a situation he'd never been in before. Remus likes to get his hands into everything — both legal and not — and doesn't mind dancing with the law here and there.
Having grown up with riches and wealth, and an inherent thirst to own everything, Remus is rather eclectic with how he lives his life. He's flamboyant and audacious, choosing to live in a way that makes him happy, rather than caring what others think of him. He dresses lavishly, often bordering on androgynous and even feminine. Remus doesn't like to keep himself contained in the social construct of a box, and his identity is often as fluid as his mood. The only thing that can be counted on as being consistent with him is his terrible inconsistency — he simply takes one day at a time, and doesn't care much about what the future holds. The only thing that changed for him recently was his position in the Diamonds Gang. A new family of sorts, but one that is not tied to him through kinship. He enjoys how every day brings about something new, and while his loyalty can sometimes be called into question, it's clear he enjoys what the gang offers him. For now.
