The year is 2048 and the last of Earth's civilization boarded the giant space voyager, The Galileo to make the journey for Talos 1; a planet found to be able to sustain life the same as Earth. Humanity needed to abandon Earth due to over-population and consumption of its resources unable to replenish.
After multiple attempted efforts to contain the situation, Earth was bounding for failure, the planet eventually becoming a wasteland that was incapable of sustaining life. As animals and plants started to die out, the collective space agencies of the world went to work to develop the Galileo. By the time the ocean started to dry up, they selected a lottery in which a fraction of international populations were picked to board.
They've been floating in space for about five years now, hoping to get to their destination on Talos 1. Some believe it's a figment that will never be reached within their lifetime and others are eagerly awaiting the destination of the future!
