When they were children he was the one always keeping an eye on Asena, taking her under his wing, and teaching her how to fight and use a knife among other things, honestly, he is the reason she is the way she is today. When he was a child both of his parents were fairly prominent Hearts members so he was exposed to the same kind of life Asena was but with a few more perks than she had. When she was picked up and taken to the orphanage she wouldn't see him again for years, during that time he would follow in his parent's footsteps and join the Hearts.

I would love to have it where they manage to find each other again but he just never tells her he is in the Hearts and sort of uses her for whatever information he can get out of her (which isn't going to be much) but at the same time try to keep her out of harms way and away from any kind of gang activity. She is obviously going to fall for him pretty hard and he can either reciprocate those feelings or just go using her. Eventually, she is going to find out what he does (maybe someone that doesn't like him can give him away) and just totally blow up.
