It had all been so much fun. The thrill and the rush and the beats pumping through her veins alongside all the rest she had been indulging herself on. It was great to know she was untouchable. She could conquer the world and so much more. She could feel her heart thumping loudly in her head, the erratic noise echoing within the vast blur of a mind she was trying to get to cooperate - unsuccessfully.
Her breathing had started to become heavier as her heartbeat had picked up even more, making her spin both inside her mind as out onto the street. Her legs started giving out from underneath her as she had tried to make her way down the Slums and onto the next place she felt like going. Her lips curled into an endless teeth baring grin she no longer had control over. It had all been so much fun.
She had hit her head on the way down - when her legs had finally given up on this endless parade. The buzzing added to the noise in her skull, her temples pounding as she pressed her palms to her face to numb the pain. She had to go. Go get home. Go get safe. Go get --
Nox had only found her way to the tent by luck, it seemed. Her feet had known the way. Or had it been those hands at her arms that she seemed to had registered at some point that had gotten her to the point. All she knew is that her brain had been on fire, and her body had followed suit.
The first few breaths were ragged and hoarse, like lungs that had only just figured out how to deal with the rough air surging over its surface. She could still feel her head thumping from her earlier tumble - though it was hard to discern the difference between what the stone wall had done and what she had done to her own system.
A familiar voice echoes through her head as she tries to find her bearing. The horrid light above her piercing into her eyes, the smells of the clinic's contents burning her nose - it all meant she was alive. Her fingers reach for the cup of water, only to spill most of it as her muscles uncontrollably make their own way back into proper functioning. The remaining liquid tinkles down her throat, only to usher in more coughing.
She wasn't entirely sure what had just been shoved down her throat for it to feel like this, and frankly, she wasn't too keen on finding out.
Disoriented she tries to sit herself upright - trying desperately to see what the fuck was going on around her. Her body clenches tightly within itself, making her hurl over and throw up whatever small amount of stomach content still present after drinking.
Her hands clasp at the side table next to the treatment chair, accidentally pushing it over as her instinct to try and stay up straight takes over too wildly. This time, she was sure the thumping feeling in her head was from the sudden contact it had made with the floor below her.
