Everything hurt. Her skin felt like it was burning and the barest touch would make it slough off. Her ears were overloaded with the sound of thousands of annoying yet enticing pulses. The very barest of lights burns her eyes. Her nose felt assaulted by the heavy scents around her and yet she could almost swear she could smell blood in the air.
And yet, despite all these aches and beyond the agonizing churning of her midsection, Seryna chose to hold off visiting The Club. She had only been there just a week ago and though it was torturous, she wanted to remain human for as long as feasibly possible.
However, such resolve didn't last long for soon, she found herself zombie-walking towards the River Styx. It was already a miracle that she managed to drag herself there without jumping the very first warm body that she met right outside of the opera house. Yet, as soon as Kane open the doors and the heavy sweet scent of blood drifted from the den up to her nostrils, her sapphire eyes turned golden yellow.
But at the weakened state that she was, Seryna couldn't manage to even step into much less run towards the nearest source of blood. She had to be "helped" by one of the Styx employees to a comfortable seat where she could rest her moon-pale and extremely starved body.
A couple, a human and a being like herself, occupied a seat a few feet away, and her golden eyes train at them, her fangs bared and her mouth salivating as she watched the man drink from the other.
Yet, when one such warm body was settled next to her and she was offered a bleeding arm, Seryna could only dumbly look at it, before bursting into tears. She hated that she wanted it and she abhorred that she had to be reduced to being such a monstrosity to survive. TagGray Pierre
