Since his reawakening, Nils has found himself in contract work as a catcher of sorts for the Hearts Gang which he readily associates with, although he does dabble in business outside of this as well. Not known for his loyalty, Nils is driven by the primal urges of his time as a Reaper, of which he is only out of by a few months. Humanity never came easy for him, as he is incredibly selfish and always has been. Kicked out by his family at age sixteen, he subsisted on a life of drug dealing and other petty crimes. As a Patient Zero, he blends in well with the human world once again but enjoys the freedom his infection gives him, frequently hunting and feeding despite the greatly diminished need to do so. He is one to find his vampirism as something to be celebrated and enjoyed, not lamented over. He does not need, nor does he use his humanity as anything but a veil.
