The contact should have been here by now.

Leo thought this viciously as he tipped back another rush of brandy. It was a biting brandy of cheap quality, but that was to be expected in a place where the once-white paint was peeling off rotted walls and the furniture was blackened by century-old cigarette burns.

The King of Diamonds, now situated in a cozy position in one of the most influential white collar gangs in the Citadel, preferred not to venture out of its cushy borders. Only when business bade him to did he wander from the Casino District. When he was younger, adventure called to him like some alluring siren, treacherous in its promises. Now he preferred to watch the chaos from the sprawling, red carpeted-and-marble floored penthouse suite atop his very own casino, the neon lights of which would bath the dark streets in shades of gaudy pinks and greens.

His fingers tapped the old, dusted countertop anxiously. His azure blue eyes flashed systematically from the bartender, scrubbing mugs with a suspiciously unclean rag, to the front door, to the back door, before sweeping over the perimeter of the dining space. It was moderately full, enough so that Leo could blend into the crowd, as much as a well-dressed, gelled-up businessman could in a sordid bar.

His gaze slid to where his bodyguard, a man younger in him in both mind and years named Cal, sat beside him. Cal certainly was not as on edge as Leo, as the man began chatting away with a brunette definitely older than the Diamond King. The corner of his mouth twisted in displeasure and Leo delivered a sharp kick to Cal's shins beneath the bar. It seemingly did not hurt the other, but earned Leo an annoyed look.

"Foolishness and youth go together like wine and cheese, so I'll let you off with a warning. Chat, drink, fuck all you want. But remember what we pay you for."

The surprised and embarrassed look on Cal's face did little assuage Leo's continuedly sour mood and he threw back the rest of his brandy in a huff.

Ta-da! The contact was now here.

Well, part of him was. North drags one of his thumbs across his rigid jawline to wipe up the little bit of blood that still lingered there. It had been a rather messy kill by his standards, but he had just barely snatched the man off the streets before he had made it to his destination, and North knew it was a ticking clock before the Jabberwocky contact got suspicious and left. The Military had known about this meeting for weeks now, and while they originally had wanted to send a Secret Service officer to attend the meeting in lieu of the actual contact, North had chosen to take the challenge on himself. He could do with a little fun in his life that evening, and look, it had awarded him a rather delicious snack in return.

Throwing the man's body in the shadows of the closest building, where it wouldn't be discovered for days, North fixes the collar of his suit and smooths back his hair before he enters the shady looking dump. There aren't too many people inside yet, and the ones that are there linger in the shadows. Except for two men currently sitting at the bar.

The Military didn't know who exactly they were targeting — no name, picture, nothing. All they had heard was that a contact was meeting with someone in the higher ranks of a Jabberwocky gang at this bar tonight. It was meant to be for information gathering, nothing else, and that was fine by North. He had a rather good way of getting information out of his targets, after all. Blue eyes cast another look over the establishment before he decides to put his bet on the two men sitting at the bar. Another quick fix of his clothing and North's off, approaching the bar with feline grace.

“Good evening, gentlemen,” North greeted the both of them with a purr as he slides himself into the seat next to one of the men (Leander). “I apologize for my tardiness, I hope I didn't keep you waiting long?” he apologizes, fake concern written over his face.

When the door opened, a notable sound in the lazy quiet of the bar, Leo had produced a cigar, perched between his fingers and trying to ignore Cal's figure tensed with shame beside him. He did not bother to look behind at the newcomer, convinced the contact would not show and the deal would fall through. Until a brutish shadow fell over him, the telling prickles on his neck signaling a presence behind him. Leo did not yet turn to face him, instead languidly intent on lighting his cigar and watching from over the cylindrical curve the tip blossom red and orange.

He exhaled a steady cloud of smoke, before turning to the man that had occupied the seat beside him. If Leander was irritated at the contact's tardiness, it didn't show. His smile was easy, blue eyes wide with energy, like he had only just sat down moments before the contact entered.

He breathed out a laugh, perching the cigar between long fingers. "Well, I've needed to give my legs a rest anyway." Leo extended a hand, pressed gray sleeve and all, for a formal shake. "Leander, but people call me Leo. Whichever befits you." Blue eyes appraised the man before him, who filled out his shirt nicely. His voice was filled with airy amusement. "Neil's always had a type."

Then, Leo's eyes flickered over his shoulder, at the barkeep. The bald man gave a brusque nod, then pointed to the back of the dingy bar where dust-cloaked red curtains guarded the back rooms. The King of Diamonds turned his attention back to the associate. "Come, let's go somewhere more private"

The stool creaked as Leo stood, 6'2" and athletic torso lined neatly in a solid gray blazer. Behind him, the more abrupt screeching of a stool sounded as Cal followed his boss. Should the contact refuse, he would stay standing in that spot, masked blue eyes searching the other, never revealing. Should the contact agree, he would lead him passed the curtains, down hallways dim with lights, flickering and dying, to a cozy and oddly well-furnished back room, which consisted mostly of a semi-circular booth and a small round oak table, the only telling of the dismal surroundings the stale smell that hung in the air. That was quickly vanquished by the incense Leo lit and slid into the glass vase at the center of the table.

Thankfully he had gotten there just on time. At least, that's what it looked like to the Major when his contact turned to face him, an easy smile on his face that didn't give away any sense of anger towards North's tardiness. Good. The stranger takes a couple beats to take a few breaths of his cigar, and North uses that time — quite wisely, in his opinion — to look the man from head to toe. Both of them, in fact, quickly gathering that the two men sitting at the bar were indeed together. Both from the same gang, he was guessing? Regardless, they were rather fine specimen by North's regards, and maybe things would turn out well in the Infected's favour for some evening fun.

He grins at the thought, but doesn't let himself get very carried away. After all, he didn't really know what this meeting was about exactly. For all he knew, he could have just walked himself into a trap, all for the Military and their silly need for undercover work. A hand is extended towards him and North immediately clasps it with his own, giving a firm handshake as a warm smile spreads across his face — unusual for him.

“You can call me Nathanial. Nate, if you wish,” he replies immediately, knowing better than to give his real name. He didn't know how much the Jabberwockies knew about Military personnel when it came to appearances, but he was far enough up in the hierarchy that he wouldn't be surprised if they recognized his name. At the mention of someone named Neil having a type, North merely grins and lets out a laugh in response.

“Indeed.” He doesn't know who Neil is, but he plays it up with a coy sweep of his fingers through his hair. Leander decides to finally lead them somewhere more private, and North immediately stands to join the man, acutely aware once more of how he could be easily allowing himself to be drawn into a trap. His senses stay on alert, even if his posture is comfortable and relaxed. In truth there wasn't much that he had to be worried about as an Infected, but no predator remained too confident for long.

He was led down a narrow hallway, the other man at his back — dark lights threatened to blow out completely, but North wouldn't need them anyway to see in the dark. He's taken to a small and cozy room, and he watches Leander for a moment as he lights some incense on the table, before North invites himself to sit in the booth.

“This is cozy,” North remarks with a whistle and then — because North just can't help being North — he looks at the other man with a smirk, and comments: “Almost feels romantic.”

Leo settled into the cushions, which upon closer inspection, were not as immaculate as they presented. There were tears in the velvet fabric, revealing the stuffing underneath, and blackened scars that could only have been caused by fire and smoke. It bothered Leander, truthfully, who was accustomed elegance, yet he did not show it. Instead he was busy, cigar hanging from his mouth, directing Cal outside the room to ensure that "no one bother them". It would him, and Nathaniel, alone in this room, small enough where if one reached out, their fingers would brush against the other.

From underneath the table, Leo pulled out a fine, circular bottle of whiskey with a short, fat stem and a crystal stopper that flashed prismatic at every turn. That on the table, he slid two rotund glasses beside it and poured one for his guest, first, before himself.

The air about him was relaxed, unrushed. He leaned back, took the cigar between his forefinger and middle and allowed the arm that hand belonged to to stretch along the back of the booth. The other hand was occupied with a whiskey glass, full as manners allowed.

Leo grinned, laughed. "New to business, huh?" he look a long sip of the whiskey, already appreciative of how much richer it tasted than the swill up front. "Half of the fun is determining whether the other party wants to fuck you in the metaphorical sense, or fuck you in the literal."

He stabbed the butt of his cigar in the ashtray, just besides the incense and discarded it to the side. "Lucky for you, I'm a professional and only wish to see this as opportune for the both of us. Have you got the cash?"

While Nathaniel was searching, Leo pulled out a sealed packet from beneath his blazer and placed it delicately atop his lap. Leo waited patiently for Nathan to get his bearings, taking another slow sip of his drink.

"Neil should know this by now, but I ask you to remind him for posterity's sake. I'm upping my rate. His little escapade last time almost got me caught and him thrown in jail. The Military's been sniffing around ever since," Leo shook his head, displeased. "Your employer's gotten careless. The room for error is shrinking, rapidly. I'm only doing this because I owe him a favor."

The King peered at Nathan, curiosity brimming sea foam eyes. "I wonder if you've something to do with it." He was unaware that the man before him was Military. It was more an appraisal of Nathan's physical value, a tall, robust and handsome specimen that Neil would have no doubt paid dividends for in the black market and perhaps, foolishly, even risk capture. It almost made Leo scoff, how much that rich asshole would risk for a good fuck. Then, again, boredom was a powerful motivator in the closeted confines of the Citadel and maybe it was not just the sex Neil sought but the thrill of acquisition. Leo mused this over his plethora of casino funds.

North watches with stoic eyes as one of the men is directed to stand watch outside the room, leaving just him and the remaining man in the room together. Further playing to North's quip about things feeling romantic. Perhaps if he was anyone else, there would have been a healthy amount of fear in being trapped in a room with gang members but... One sniff told him all he needed to know. The two gangsters were human, and he had little to fear from them. Not to mention his Military backing.

The Major settles himself comfortably in the seating, putting on an air of someone that was comfortable with what was about to go down. In reality he was on alert, ensuring he kept track of everything that happened so that he could write it down later for the Military's intel. He remains silent as Leander first begins to speak, a wry grin throw in the other man's direction about the comment of wanting to fuck metaphorically or literally. Little did the man know — North always had a one-direction mind on that kind of thing.

“What a shame, here I was thinking you were going to give me a choice of the two options,” North laughs after Leander's 'reassurance' things were strictly professional, and he leans forward to rummage around on the inside of his jacket. He pulls out a pack of cash, and tosses it onto the table in front of them so the man could take a look if he wanted.

It wasn't his. Hell, it wasn't even the Military's. North had found the cash on the previous contact's body after he killed him, and decided it was worth retrieving just in case it was relevant to the meeting. Apparently it was. North listens silently as the man begins to speak again. While it didn't immediately click for him, he was sure to pack every name and little detail away inside his head for future use. He simply nodded along with the man, acting as though he understood everything he was saying — he was a good actor after all.

When the limelight is turned on him, it's North's time to shine.

“Who, me? Nonsense, I'm as innocent as a lamb,” he purrs with a cheeky grin, in response to the question if he had anything to do with 'it'. Eyes momentarily glance at the wad of cash, a question on the tip of his tongue wanting to know what it was for exactly. But that would be too suspicious.

“Neil's told me a lot about you, you know,” North continues, deciding to fish for more information with a little flattery. “I'm glad to see everything he's told me is true,” he continues,. with a smirk and a slight narrowing of his eyes. Hungry, and seductive, yet he doesn't move.

A half amused chuckled slipped out of Leo, and he watched Nathan inquisitively as he took a healthy sip of his drink. He was not sure what incited his next words- probably the whiskey, he blamed, for way it heated his cheeks and mind.

"Perhaps later, after business is finished," Leo replied, not flippantly, but with a suggestive growl that signaled genuine thought over the idea. His eyes then followed the packet of cash Nathan pulled from the pocket of his jacket. Everything about the contact's motions were fluid, confident, like he had done this a million times over. Interesting, as Neil preferred his underlings weak and malleable, leashed to his instruction. Leo mulled the thought over as he reached forward to slid the packet with a forefinger onto his side. He had no need to count the cash over- whatever amount Neil wanted laundered mattered not to Leo, only that he got his portion of the cut.

He stuffed the money packet under his jacket, though judging by his stance, one foot propped up on a lean thigh and an arm slung over the back of the dusty booth, the King looked in no rush to go anywhere. In fact, the way he sunk back into the seat, it seemed he was wholly content to just sit around and talk for more than a moment.

True surprise tugged at Leo's brow. "Really? That I'm a good-for-nothing leech who charges too highly for the services I offer?" His relationship with Neil was hardly amicable, and Leo knew this as Neil was not keen enough to keep his mouth shut to the wrong people. Though his suggestion was acrid, it was only followed by a light laugh. "We do what we must to survive in this world, Nathan. For are we just not animals, clawing our way to the top of the food chain?"

Leo downed the rest of his whiskey, a light fuzziness starting to overtake his thoughts, and indicated Nathan's untouched drink on the table. "Will you not have any? C'mon- I know what Neil feeds to his employees with the pay you're given. Trust me, you won't taste any sweeter whiskey than this." As if enunciating the point, Leo poured himself another glass, and with it, any illusion of restraint gone.

Oh? Here North had gone into this little transaction with the mindset of it being strictly professional — strictly for Military purposes only — and yet here this man was offering the potential for things to get a little more... Heated once things were said and done. Assuming they were both alive at the end of it, of course. It makes North grin, eyes narrowing ever so slightly, not yet ready to show his own cards. No matter. He watches as Leander simply grabs the pack of cash and shoves it into his pocket, not even caring enough to bother counting it. That worked for North just fine; imagine if he had been short of cash? Well, not like he was strapped for money.

He barks out a laugh at Leander's comment about what he thought Neil had told North about him, clearly taking things the wrong way. That was fine for North; he was slowly learning more and more about what this drop was all about, no matter if it was more hostile or not. In truth it had been meant as a compliment, but clearly there was enough friction between the two business partners that Leander took the comment in a completely different way.

“We are indeed,” North laughs, knowing he for sure was more beast than man. “But I'm afraid you took my comment the wrong way. Neil didn't mention anything personal about you— Simply that he knew you'd be my type.” An aggressive stance to take when flirting, perhaps, but hey. Those that got rubbed the right way, often had looser lips.

North quirks a brow as Leander indicates the glass of whiskey still left untouched on the table in front of him. Truthfully North preferred a much more foreign drink — that of vodka to be precise — but he wasn't about to turn down an offer for a drink. Not like one drink, or even five, would do much to impair his thinking. Perks of being Infected, he supposed.

“Ah, right, where are my manners?” he laughs with his rhetorical question, reaching forward to grab the drink just as Leander begins to pour himself another. “I do enjoy drinking with others, and suffice to say, Neil doesn't make the best drinking partner,” North laughs, deciding to use Leander's previous spite against Neil to try and win favours with the Jabberwocky. He lifts his glass as a sort of 'cheers' before throwing back a sip, allowing the flavour to marinate on his tongue for a moment before swallowing it.

Delicious.” He looks Leander in the eye as he says it. Is he talking about the alcohol — or Leander?

His type? Now that was weird- Neil rarely considered others enough to make an informed decision such as sending Nathan to a man he liked. His gaze was easy as he lifted his glass in cheers, yet there was suspicion brewing in his thoughts. Perhaps Neil was smarter than Leo gave him credit for. Perhaps in his angry blindness, he had underestimated his business partner to appoint a middle man that played to the King's weaknesses. Leo clutched his blazer tighter towards his chest to feel the security of the packet of cash. It was dirty money, yes- but dirty enough to link it back to the Diamonds?

Leo felt the heat of alcohol on his cheeks. He was tipsy, the world starting to glow softly around him, but he had no desire to drink further. He wanted to keep a clear mind.

Nathan's gaze was inviting, coy, over the rim of his glass. He drank deeply, yet his eyes were on Leo when he drawled delicious. Something tugged at Leo's gut, and the King of Diamonds set the drink down. Temptation used to have a careful hold on Leo, but monotony and age had since weathered his defenses.

He kept his back leaning against the booth, stance relaxed and open- yet he made a point to lean towards Nathan, like the man were tugging at some invisible string that pulled Leo closer.

"Tell me more," he breathed, blue eyes intent on Nathan. He was just beginning to recognize the way the messenger's collarbone stuck out of his shirt, forming seductive hollows of shadow just beneath his neck. "About how I am your type."

North grins — gotcha.

In the back of his mind, he knows he's completely derailing this assignment. Get in, give the money, find out what kind of relation the contact had to the Jabberwockies. That was it. That's all he needed to do in order to consider his mission a success. But if anything, he considered it the Military's fault for sending him to deal with such an intimate mission, once that of course he'd gladly allow to be sidetracked should the target be hot and willing.

And he was. Or at least, that was what North assumed the moment he noticed Leander slowly lean his direction, a beautiful drunk aura on the man's face as he was mesmerized by the way in which North twirled the world delicious on his tongue. North keeps his glass up to his lips for a second longer before he puts it down on the table in front of them once more, his attention entirely swallowed whole by the man now so eagerly asking for more information on how exactly he was North's type. North just about enjoyed everyone, that was no secret, but that didn't meant he didn't have a type. Leander just happened to be the unlucky one that was trapped in North's predatory gaze.

“You want me to tell you?” North questions with a hot breath, leaning in ever so slightly, “or show you?” Teeth flashing into a smooth grin as he closes the gap further yet, eyes never once leaving the man's — as though trying to entice the man forward of his own volition. It would have been so easy to just close the gap and finish with what the tension in the air promised, but North did enjoy playing a little game with others.

“Oh, my bad, you did mention you were much more of a professional than that, correct?” A soft laugh, not meant to be mocking, leaves his lips as he teases the man by pulling back and settling against the couch once more.

The thick packet of cash burned against his clothed breast, a heavy and present reminder of his now-completed task. But the man presented before him, that made Leo ponder on whether he could ever escape his powerful desires, began to give Leo the impression that Neil was smarter than he'd thought. Or, that this was an entirely different breed of human, belonging to a third party that had ulterior interests to the simple business deal.

Brilliant blues glowered against his, raw, unmasked seduction, almost obviously so, that unnerved Leo as much as excited him. Leo met that gaze with silent challenge, even a hint of pride in a slightly cocked chin. Without tearing his gaze away, he called "Cal!".

And he watched Nathan's every reaction, a wrinkle of the nose bridge, a strain of the eyebrow. Any hint of unease, as Leo's bodyguard came into the room less than dutiful second later. Leo still didn't maneuver his eyes away from Nathan, the fire between them fanning to blistering heat.

"Ensure no one bothers us," Leo said. Cal's booted steps faded away. On the surface, it was a simple command, one that invited further action from Nathan and a continuation of their sultry dance. But, it was a code, a hidden message to Cal that stated "ensure no one bothers us- and that the meeting may be compromised. Look out for trouble".

Leo shifted closer to Nathan. The booth was comfortable, though short, and even the slight shuffle of his bodice landed him just a hair's length away from Nathan's form. The money packet pressed closer against Leo as he lifted a hand to plant intrepidly on Nathan's thigh, a small grin snaked across his lips.

"Business is concluded, isn't it? I don't see any reason why we must continue being professionals." There must have been something on his person that hinted at to who he belonged to, what master he'd served. If Leo had drunk anymore of the whiskey, his suspicions would have been dampened and this would have been a meeting of pure, uncurbed attraction. But in a moment of foresight and intuition, the very same that brought him to the top of the Diamond's hierarchy, he sensed something was off.

Like Leander, North's gaze never once wavers from his — not even as the other man enters the room. While it put him at a disadvantage in such a small area, two against one, the beast didn't need to look at the other man to know exactly where he was. What he was doing. North could hear the beat of his blood racing through his veins — could smell the delicious nectar just barely hiding beneath the surface. Having two humans so close to him in such an enclosed space tugged at North's most bestial side, and his lips swiftly close to hide the fangs that threaten to reveal themselves.

As Leander speaks to his man — his words easily picked up by North — blue eyes drop to take in the long line of the man's neck. The perfect pale skin that just barely concealed the man's jugular. The squeak of a body moving across leather finally draws North's attention back to the present, his grin only widening as the human moves closer to him, a bold hand reaching out to plant itself on the Major's thigh.

“Indeed,” North purrs with a huff of laughter — as glutenous as he was for pleasure, the man still knew what his goal for this meeting was. Handing over a wad of money then blowing off some steam simply wouldn't do for his End-of-Day report. But North was smart enough to know that whatever else it was he wanted to pry from the man could — had to — wait for the moment.

“Tell me: what do you think Neil would say if he knew you had your way with his messanger?” — a flash of his eyes, and then: “Or vice versa?” I'd much rather have my way with you, the man's carnal voice whispers in a sing song in his head, but North keeps such thoughts under wrap. Wouldn't do to chase the man away, not after getting this far.

He waited, felt for the tension beneath his hand, planted atop the man’s thigh, any tell-tale sign of Nathan’s nerves, his reluctance, that he might have second thoughts on the direction this sojourn were heading. But if his opposite felt anything, he did not show it - just settled a piercing blue gaze across Leander, singing every inch of fabric and skin until the King’s secrets laid ash laden and bare.

His eyes were almost discomfiting - inhuman, like they were devoid of conceivable emotion. Leo had a sudden urge to retract his hand, as if Nathan’s trousers were found to be burning to the touch. Instead, his fingers remained there, as Leo met the man’s gaze, hoping that his high chin and steady stare would not betray the uncertainty that trickled through him.

”I tend not to waste my time worrying about what others would think.” His eyes traced the man’s jawline, the stubble that shadowed his lower face, that added to Nathan’s attractive hawkishness. He really was handsome - and if Neil really had sent him, Leo wondered how he had neglected to utilize him earlier.

”Though if you really are worried - so long as he gets his money, and messenger, in one whole and happy piece, I don’t think he would give a damn. Pardon my language.”

Manners, in a dusky backroom of a duskier inn, his words suffocating in the cloying, acrid stench of cigarettes that hung around them like smoke and turned the room a notable shade hazier than outside it. His head tilted down, his eyes following his finger as he boldly trailed the front of Nathan’s pants, his shirt, all the way up to his delicious jawline, long, rough fingers settling on the dark bristles that carpeted it. He leaned in, allowing his words to brush the shell of Nathan’s ears, as tender and coy as a lover’s lips.

”And I can make you really happy.”

He just needed an opportunity to stick his fingers in some of those pockets - elicit a form of identification, his Stronghold-mandated ID card, anything that would soothe the suspicions gnawing at him like thorns.

North is used to this game; he's played this game many times before, although generally they were simply for pleasure rather than business. He holds steady to the knowledge that something has to come of this meeting — something worthwhile. He'd spent the time and energy to dispose of the original contact in order to infiltrate this meeting, and he couldn't let his lower half do the rest of the decision making without him.

Still... He keeps track of the way Leander looks at him; the way the human tests his limits. Perhaps the Jabberwocky has his own end goal in mind with the light touches and the heated gazes, but it's not something the Infected would know of — yet. He's free to grin now as the desire for his fangs to reveal themselves slowly ebbs away. A soft chuckle at Leander's words about not caring what others think; was that not North's motto as well? He spent his time fucking his way to top, and he couldn't care less about the idle gossip about it floating around the Military Compound.

“Good to know you're planning on leaving me in one piece after this,” North chuckles, confident and at ease. He laughs along with the joke, but in reality, it's information for him to file away — so whatever relationship this man had with North's supposed 'boss', it was friendly enough that Leander wasn't going to shoot the messenger.

A soft sucking of breath — adrenaline races in his veins — as one lone, daring finger works its way up his body from where it had previously been teasing the top of his thigh. The briefest of touches to the front of his pant is quick — too quick — and then the finger is trailing up his body and towards his jawline. A touch, a demand, and then Leander is suddenly in his space, hot breath on his ear and finger still daring to touch his hot flesh.

Those words whispered into his ear, hot and heavy, incite something much more primal in him, but he kills the growl bubbling in his chest before it has a chance to reach the surface. He watches Leander from the corner of his eye — his grin still wide and unwavering, used to such attention.

He doesn't know the man's game, but he intends to play.

“Oh really?” he purrs his words, sickeningly sweet, and heavy with lust. “Here I thought you were the only one getting paid for a job well done,” he continues, the innuendo slick on tongue. Much as he desires to make the first move — grab the man and shove him down, perhaps? — he keeps himself still, letting the person with the higher rank take charge. For now, at least.

There it was - a spark, a flick, something that had switched behind the dark lenses of the man's eyes. It spoke of desire, of intent, the willing participant to Leander's little play. In the Diamonds, it was not just about brute force or raw appeal - it was about carefully veiled persuasion - about reading the little tells and details in a person to gain leverage on the situation. As a middle man, Leander presumed Nathan not to know this - the inner workings of a Diamond member's mind. But there was a keenness to the man opposite of him, a danger, that raised the hairs on the back of Leander's neck.

Leo had grown cautious over his years, and every instinct was telling him to turn back.

But, besides himself, he was also intrigued. It was a curiosity unquieted, something the King of Diamonds could not quite ignore. He even detected a challenge - to push his strengths to their limit, to see how far he could bend until he broke.

Leo's lip curled lasciviously.

"That would not be fair, now would it?" Leo retorted, his finger dipping beneath Nathan's chin, to his collarbone, then tugging his shirt's neckline. "Neil may not reward his employees, but that is not how I intend to run things."

His lips trailed down the shell of Nathan's ear, mouth hovering above the man's stubble, as he drunk in the heady smell that clung to the man, now strong past the thick haze of cigar smoke.

"You would like to get paid, right Nathan?" Leander purred. "To be valued for your work? Neil, he does not treat his men right. Not like how I treat them."

With his words, the hand tugging at Nathan's neckline dropped to the front of his pants - to Nathan's inner thigh, fingers dancing closely by his crotch.

"You can turn back whenever you'd like. But then you'd be missing out on all the fun. I assure you, it is a gamble worth making."
